Sarajevo was too good to pass up going to a second time. And wow, I am so glad I did. It is almost hard to rectify the Sarajevo I went to in June with the Sarajevo I visited in September. (Very unsurprisingly) it turns out there is much more to the city than my first three day visit could take in.
This time I spent a lot of time in the old town, but I also took the tram a couple stops west to visit the Historical Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ars Aevi, a contemporary art museum. The former was, like most galleries and museums in BIH, quite depressing. The main exhibit was regarding the war, but there was, unexpectedly and kind of strangely, also a temporary exhibit about German subculture in the 1980s, specifically manifested in the music scene. It was super rad and I really enjoyed it. The Ars Aevi was also rad and strange, but gosh too much plywood.
Already sorry for all the low-quality pictures of very very high-quality pictures but they are so good I could not resist.
